Lala Bahadur Chand Munjal Charitable Trust was established in 1970 by the great entrepreneurs and philanthropist sons of Late Lala Bahadur Chand Munjal namely Mahatma Satyanand Munjal, Shri Brij Mohan Lall Munjal, Shri O.P. Munjal and Shri Vijay Munjal S/o Shri. Dayanand Munjal; with the objective to provide liberal, scientific and technical education and for that purpose to build schools, to start educational institution and to award stipends/scholarships to deserving students.

The revered trustees of the LBCM Foundation were quite convinced of the importance of education and believed that intellectual, technical and most important of all; social education would help the nation to develop those traits among Indians which are necessary for development and progress. They believed that education alone can open opportunities of enlightenment and can generate a respectable standard of living for Indian people.

In the year 2000, name of the trust was changed to Lala Bahadur Chand Munjal Foundation. At present LBCM Foundation is running the following institution under unparalleled wisdom & acumen of its current trustees:

BCM School, Chandigarh Road is the living legacy of the ideals of the great visionary Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj. Maharishi’s greatest dream was to eradicate ignorance and promote literacy in free India by building educational institutions that would receive strength from the perennial wisdom of Vedas, and yet would offer the latest modern education, enabling the students to compete with the world in scientific and technological advancements.

In 1996, BCM School came into existence as second in the chain of BCM Schools established by LBCM Foundation. It started from Nursery to class VIII with strength of merely 297 students.
