The annual Techno Fest, a celebration of innovation and academic excellence, concluded at BCM School Chandigarh Road with a grand prize distribution ceremony. This event was organized to commemorate the 94th Birth Anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and featured participation from over 30 schools across Punjab.
Students from participating schools competed in various events, including English Declamation, Pymath Challenge, Kalam Chronicles, Teenpreneurship, Science Expo, Robothon, and Science Quiz. The competition was fierce, with students showcasing their talents and knowledge in a variety of fields.
KVM School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana emerged as the overall winner of the Techno Fest, followed by Jesus Sacred Heart and DAV Public School, Ludhiana in second and third place, respectively. The winners were awarded certificates, trophies, and cash prizes worth Rs. 8000/- during the valediction ceremony.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by the Principal, followed by a captivating welcome song, dance, and yoga performance by the school's talented students. The Chief Guest, Mr. Sridhar, a distinguished professor from VB University Mumbai and Case Western Reserve University Cleveland US, was highly impressed by the students' innovations, enthusiasm and achievements. He talked about increasing usage of artificial intelligence and machine learning, its history and how these things are affecting our lives.
Other distinguished guests included judges from esteemed colleges and universities, as well as Dr. Monika and Ms. Neeru Kaura, Principals from BCM College and School.
Mr. DP Guleria, the Principal expressed his gratitude to the participating schools and commended the students and accompanying teachers for their dedication and hard work. He shared a few life lessons from Dr. Kalam's life and encouraged everyone to reflect on his contributions and strive for excellence in their own lives.

BCM School, Chandigarh Road held its annual Investiture Ceremony for the Junior School Council on May 20, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the academic year. The event, which took place in the school’s auditorium, celebrated the appointment of new student leaders who will take on various responsibilities in the coming year.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Prof. Deepak Chopra, Principal, Govt. College, Ludhiana (East), who was warmly welcomed by the school’s Principal, Mr. D.P. Guleria.
In her opening address, Principal Mr. D.P. Guleria emphasized the importance of leadership and the role of student leaders in fostering a positive school environment. He encouraged the newly appointed leaders to lead with integrity and compassion.
The ceremony's highlight was the formal swearing-in of the newly elected members of the Student Council. Clad in their official uniforms, the students took an oath of office, pledging to uphold the values and ethos of the school. In his keynote address, the Chief Guest, Prof. Deepak Chopra congratulated the newly appointed leaders and shared valuable insights on leadership and the importance of good parenting. “Parents and teachers should work hand in hand in shaping these future leaders.,” he advised.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks followed by National Anthem. The event was a resounding success, with parents, teachers, and students applauding the new leaders and expressing their support.

It was the time to applaud and reward the students for their sincere efforts during the previous academic session. The school honoured its achievers of classes VI to VIII for having attained a sterling record in academics. The ceremony commenced by invoking God’s blessings followed by a welcome address and was then taken further by the comparers. The welcome song sung by the choir and dance performances were appreciated by everyone.
The awards were conferred upon the well deserving BCMites by the honourable chief guest Mr. Gautam Jain, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, School Principal Mr. DP Guleria and Trustee of BCM Foundation, Sh. Suresh Chandra Munjal. The Principal also motivated the winners to go ahead to achieve their heart’s desire –whatever that may be. The function turned out to be a kaleidoscope of a series of thematic performances showcasing the theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. It was an endeavour to acknowledge and award students for their continuing saga of glorious achievements in the School Examinations for the academic year session 2022-23. Mr. Sumit Sood, ACP, North and Sh. Suresh Chandra Ji Munjal, Trustee BCM Foundation were among the distinguished guests. Around 500 students participated in this gala event. Parents were also present in a large number to encourage and cheer the students. The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by an exhilarating welcome dance which enthralled the audience. School Principal DP Guleria welcomed the august gathering. He also encouraged the students to continue taking initiatives that would polish and enrich their talents. Students of class II conveyed a powerful message of Global Unity through their Choreography on the theme “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. Power-packed folk dances of India added to the grandeur of the show. Class toppers from I to V were honoured with Mahatma Satyanand Ji Munjal Trophy and overall toppers were awarded with Brij Mohan Lal Munjal Trophy. Laksh Jain was announced as the proud recipient of Scholar Blazer for being the overall topper for three consecutive years. The grand spectacle concluded on a happy note with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
In a magnificent ceremony ‘Achievers’ Day’ held at Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium; BCM School Chandigarh Road honoured the high achievers of Class IX-XII of academic session 2022-23. IRS Vrindaba Gohil, Customs and Indirect Taxes Officer graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and facilitated the high achievers with certificates & trophies. 35 consistent toppers in classes X and XI students were awarded with a scholarship of Rs. 3600/- each for showing excellence in academics. Overall toppers of 3 consecutive years were honoured with blazers.
The momentous event started with lighting the holy lamp and chanting Gaytri Mantra followed by the welcome song sung by the school orchestra. The Principal Mr. D.P.Guleria welcomed the elite gathering that included Sh. Suresh Chandra Munjal, trustee BCM Foundation, the Principals of the sister concerns, the school alumni, students, teachers and other dignitaries. While welcoming the Chief Guest he said that IRS Ms. Gohil who has served several districts of Punjab in prominent administrative positions, is an epitome of inspiration for the students as well as teachers.
While presenting a brief account of the school's achievements in the Annual Report for the year 2022-23; The Principal lauded the award winners in academics as well as in other fields like Olympiads, Sports, Inter/Intra School competitions. He also presented a record of new initiatives and features added by the school.
Sh. Suresh Chandra Munjal congratulated the winners and thanked parents for their contribution. Wishing them success in life, he said he was overwhelmed to see students’ brilliant performance. The Chief Guest, IRS Gohil appreciated the cultural performance including Bhangra and Yoga. She expressed her delight over efficient ways of the students while presenting guard of honour with band, compering fluently and showcasing values imparted by the school. VIVAAN AND DIVJOT BECOME THE HEAD BOY AND HEAD GIRL OF JUNIOR SCHOOL COUNCIL
With objective of instilling the attributes of discipline and regard for duty in the students; BCM School Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana held investiture ceremony on 16 May, 2023 and invested the students with duties for the session 2023-24. The ceremony was held with all formal stateliness in MATA DEVI THAKUR DEVI HALL. It was a solemn occasion when the young leaders took charge of the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. The echo of the school song, pride of the school was the perfect commencement for the ceremony. The school Principal DP Guleria welcomed the Chief Guest, parents and other dignitaries, congratulated the council and exhorted them to uphold the rich traditions of the school. The Chief Guest, Sh. Suresh Chandra Ji Munjal, trustee, BCM Foundation graced the occasion with his presence and guided the students not to be afraid of failures because failures are part of our journey towards success.
The central and house council members marched majestically in sync with the beating of drums and took an oath to perform their duties with dedication. The Principal of the school administered the oath to the prefectorial board. This year’s Junior School Council comprises of Vivaan Bansal and Divjot Kaur both of class V as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Vedant Singh and Purvi Mohanty are Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl. Parents of these council members expressed their gratitude and satisfaction towards the school that their wards are receiving utmost care and grooming.
The Chief guest also released the books authored by students trained under Centre of Talent Development. These budding authors were honored.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks and the singing of the NATIONAL ANTHEM. It was a memorable occasion for the young leaders as they looked forward to a new eventful and enriching academic year.
The school held an Alumni Meet for its former students who graduated from the school in the years 2010 onwards. Approximately 150-170 ex-students who are now at prestigious positions and contributing to the society as doctors, engineers, barristers, scientists and trades persons etc. showed up their presence; with some of them coming from as far as the US, UK and different cities of India and thus making it a special occasion.
The event commenced with conventional lamp lighting and incantation of Gaytri mantra. Participants were given an oral and floral welcome followed by entertaining performances by the students such as Bhangra, Sufi dance, songs and fun games. The alumni expressed their delight on returning to their Alma mater, thanked the institution for forging their personalities and discussed ways to give back to the institution and society at large.
The Principal of the school Mr DP Guleria, in his address said, ‘Alumni are both a pride as well as a resource for any institution. A strong institute-alumni bond, not only allows institutes to benefit from the skills and experience of past graduates by offering their support to the current students and to the institution, but also benefits the alumni in various ways.’ The event concluded with a sumptuous lunch for all.
With the advent of globalization, the learners of today have diversified options for higher studies after class XII. So, with the objective to update and aware the students and their parents about educational and career options, the school organised Career Fest-2023 on January 14,2023 in which representatives of 31 renowned national and international universities were available to address the problems and issues of the students along with the various opportunities offered by their respective universities. The distinguished representatives, students and parents were given a cordial welcome by the School Council members.
The Fest was declared formally opened by the manager Dr. Prem Kumar after a brief opening ceremony in which the students of the school welcomed the audience with orchestra performance and a presentation about the participating universities.
The universities showed their presence offering a myriad of opportunities of studying in the country and abroad to students. The event also addressed queries of parents regarding admission of their wards in the universities of high repute.
The Principal Mr. DP Guleria thanked the parents for their cooperation and presence in the Fest. He also thanked all the representatives of the Universities for arranging the informational event for the students. The Fest was closed with a vote of thanks. Overall it was a successful event. The parents and students expressed their gratitude to the school for organising the fest.

JESUS’ SACRED HEART SCHOOL EMERGED AS OVER ALL WINNER
15 Oct., 15th Techno Fest-an Enlightened Vision reached its crescendo at BCM School Chandigarh Road with declaration of the results and prize distribution in a grand valediction ceremony.
The two-day event - a tribute to the former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam - witnessed 200 students from 30 schools competing with one other for certificates, trophies and cash prizes worth Rs. 8000/- in Declamation, Poem Recitation, Science Expo, Robothon and Quiz competitions.
The closing ceremony was marked with the presence of Sh.Suresh Chandra Munjal ji and also other distinguished guests including Dr. Prem Kumar (Manager, BCM Schools), Principals of participating schools, judges from different esteemed colleges and universities.
Mr. DP Guleria, Principal of the host school, welcomed all and thanked them for sparing their valuable time and showing their presence. He appreciated the participants’ zeal and zest and congratulated the accompanying teachers. He said that Dr. Kalam is still alive in our hearts and having a role model like him can scale new heights of success in life for us.
BCM School, Sec-32 A celebrated Teacher’s Day organised by the student council of the school to thank the teaching faculty for the contributions they make to the lives of the students. The programme started with the oral welcome, lamp lighting and was followed by showing an Alumni video. Children expressed their gratitude through a role play, that reminded teachers of their school days when they as students were taught life skills by their mentors. TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS
September 5, BCM School Chandigarh Road celebrated the national teachers’ day - birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan with great enthusiasm. The staff and students gave a reverential tribute to Dr. Radhakrishan who was a great teacher, academic philosopher, and also served the nation as the Vice president and the President.
The event commenced with lighting conventional lamp and chanting gaytri mantra. The school choir welcomed the guests and teachers with melodious compositions.
The school alumni association presented an array of activities expressing their gratitude towards teachers and thanking them for an immeasurable contribution in shaping up their lives.
The school council members and other students poured out their heartfelt emotions for the school and teachers through various forms of arts - singing, dancing, choreography, drama etc. through which they exhibited the journey of education from ancient to modern era.
The Principal Mr. Guleria while addressing the staff said, “With the motherly touch of a teacher a child’s life can be totally transformed. He motivated the teachers to live a virtuous life being a role model for the students and instil civic sense and ethics in them.”
Dr. Prem Kumar, the Manager of the school also inspired the teachers to make continuous efforts to move from ‘Good to Great’.
By the end of event teachers had fun activities like dancing and singing with their peers.
BCM School Chandigarh Road honoured high achievers of Classes IX to XII of the session 2019-2020 with trophies as souvenirs in a live assembly. These students were already felicitated with scholarships and e-certificates of their note-worthy achievements on December 26, 2020 in the virtual Prize Distribution Function as the school was closed due to Covid conditions. Now after relaxation by the state government, these students were called to school and honoured by the Principal Mr DP Guleria. These were the brilliant scholars who scored 95% or above marks in aggregate/ 100 marks in a subject or qualified JEE & NEET. He expressed his pride and delights over students’ achievements and wished them great success in future. It was a proud moment for the parents and teachers of these students who joined in the celebration through link to online assembly. The other students also got motivated by watching their seniors being honoured and vowed to put in their best efforts in upcoming tests

To imbibe a sense of responsibility and true leadership among the students, BCM School Chandigarh Road conducted its formal and first ever virtual Investiture Ceremony for its Junior and Senior wings.
The ceremony began with echoes of Gaytri Mantra followed by welcome of the guests. Thereafter, members of Centre and House Councils for junior and senior wings were introduced to the audience. Structure, Role & Selection Procedure of Students’ Council was shared through an impressive PPT. Chosen via carefully conducted and systematic process of written test and a series of interviews, the deserving candidates were bestowed with the responsibility of leading the school from the front.
Mrs. Meenakshi Aggarwal (Senior Section Coordinator) administered the oath to the student council members that they would abide by the school rules and hold the school motto of Gyan, Swabhiman, Kalyan in high esteem. Tamanna Joshi expressed her pride on being appointed as the School Captain and assured on behalf of all the council members to perform the duties with utmost sincerity. The other elected office bearers Ritesh Kapoor Sr. Head Boy, Saari Sachdeva Sr. Head Girl Manikya Raj Jr. Head Boy Harsimarpreet Kaur Jr. Head Girl along with, Sports captains and House Captains were virtually honoured with the positions.

The Program ‘Coffee with the Principal’ was organized in Mahatma Satyanand Munjal Activity Hall. Alumni C.A.Nikhil Sachdeva, C.A. Samridhi Goel, Palak Bagga and Preet Kanwal along with school coordinators participated in the program. It started with the formal welcome by the Alumni coordinator Ms. Monika Mehta. Principal Sh. BCM Kindergarten Chandigarh Road organized 8th Annual Athletic Meet for the students of LKG & UKG In which more than 800 students took part. The tiny tots on each day won the appreciation of the audience by marching together gracefully while holding different color flags. The cultural item presented by students to embellish the event on different days captivated the hearts of the parents acting as the audience. The tastefully decorated ground was a feast to the eyes of beholders. The children enthusiastically took part in the different games planned for the day and their efforts were wholeheartedly applauded by the teachers, instructors and parents. Priyansh Sharma of UKG administered the oath to his fellow mates. Akul, Vedansh & Pinal acquainted the audience with the rules of different games like Teddy’s Day Out , Grow more Trees , Little chef’s Race, etc…. and left the audience with their oratory skills. Principal Mr. D.P Guleria appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers and declared the meet closed. The winners and the participants were honored with the medals.
MUN Club of BCM School, Chandigarh Road organized Inter BCM School British Parliamentary Debate in Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium. The event commenced with lighting the holy lamp and chanting Gaytri Mantra followed by the school song. The Principal Mr. D.P.Guleria welcomed the participants and teachers from BCM Schools. The auditorium was full with enthusiastic members of MUN Club from classes XI-XII. The teams of BCM School Focal Pt. and BCM School Basant Avenue debated on the motion - Data Sharing: A Phenomenon of Global Outlook or a Stance of Digital Colonization. Whereas the teams of BCM School Basant City and BCM School Chandigarh Road debated on the motion: UN Security Council Permanent Membership: India’s Dream Turned Passion. The invited alumnus Adjudicator Prabhleen Singh, Jasleen Kaur, Konica, Jatin explained the motion.
This event provided students with an opportunity to liberate their thoughts, act as a platform to voice their opinions, sharpen their oratory skills, and to create an environment to discuss issues of National and International concern. All the teams fought hard and presented the most thrilling Debates with constructive points and relevant arguments. During rebuttals, prestigious points were earned from both proposition and opposition. Finally the adjudicators gave their feedback to the teams and declared the positions.
The teams of BCM School Chandigarh Road and BCM School Basant Avenue encountered each other on the motion for Final Debate - BREXIT: a Deliberate Public Opinion or the Game of Politics. The grand winner’s prize was bagged by Simarjot Singh, Sagar Sareen, Kiranjot Kaur and Kushagra of BCM School, Chandigarh Road , Jaskirat Singh of BCM School Basant Avenue , Dugri won Best Speaker’s award. Muskan of BCM School Focal Point and Harshita of BCM School Basant City, Pakhowal road bagged High Recommendation honour. The Adjudicators Konica and Jatin and the MUN Club Secretary, thanked everyone for making the event one to be remembered. A musical melody followed by Prize Distribution further glorified the event which concluded with National Anthem.
XII Annual Athletic Meet of the BCM School Chandigarh Road was held on November 14 and 15, 2019, on the school sports ground. The Annual Athletic Meet is a much awaited event in our school. The School Ground was replete with enthusiasm as the athletes gathered early in the morning for the Opening Ceremony. Ms. Shiba Maggon, also known as Queen of Basket Ball, presently serving Indian Senior women Basketball Team as a coach and an international referee, graced the occasion. The mega event began with giving a Guard of Honour to the esteemed chief guest followed by a formal welcome. The event proceeded with the hoisting of the flag followed by the display of the school’s grit and discipline via March Past. The students from all the four distinctive houses of the school coupled with School Band playing soul stirring marching music took part in this magnificent show. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports captain Aastha. The athletes took an oath pledging to be true to the spirit of honesty and sportsmanship. This was followed by the Chief Guest, Ms. Shiba Maggon, declaring the sports meet open. At the end of the festivities, it was time for the Races. The races included flat races of 60mts, 80 mts,100 mts,200 mts, 400 mts and relays. A series of individual events including high jump, long jump and hurdle race were also organized. The zealous audience gathered around in large numbers, constantly applauding the participants of the track displays. To honor the winners of the opening day, medal ceremonies were held wherein Chief Guest Ms. Shiba Maggon and School Principal Mr. D.P. Guleria felicitated the winners.
The final day of athletic meet i.e November 15, 2019 began with a great splendour and determination exhibited by the participants and the organizers. The enthusiasm of the participants hailing from the classes I to X was infectious and encouraging. The vast crowd in attendance was proof of the school's dedication to all-round development of its students and the significance of becoming achievers in varied fields. The spirit of the competition continued even on the second and final day with the racing events like 80mts, 100mts, 200mts, 400mts, shot put, long jump etc. Other challenging events like the obstacle race and relay race kept the audience on its edge. To encourage and appreciate the winners, School Principal Mr. D.P. Guleria felicitated the winners with medals and his blessings. At the end of the sports meet, after the tallying of scores, the House Championship was won by the Ravi House. It was a momentous day for the Captains of Ravi House when they held the overall winning trophy. The proud winners took a victory lap round the field, as the spectators cheered on. The event ended with a note of appreciation and encouragement by the School Principal followed by the retrieval of the school flag and National Anthem. The sports day reiterated the importance of sports, at BCM, for fine physical and mental health of the students, to inculcate fair competition and to build team spirit.
A week long celebration was held at BCM School, Chandigarh Road to mark the Founder's Day and birth anniversary of revered Mahatma Satyanand Ji Munjal. The students remembered their beloved Mahatma Ji by participating in a plethora of activities organized in different wings of school. An Inter class competition of reciting Golden rules of Arya Samaj and Inter House competition of chanting Vedic Mantras was conducted in the Primary Wing. Students from Middle Wing created beautiful photo frames adorning self made portraits of Mahatma Ji and greeting cards. Students from Senior Wing wrote Vedic Mantras in beautiful hand. On the eve of Founder's Day the staff and students participated in a Mass Hawan seeking blessings of Gods and Mahatma Ji. On 24 May an Exhibition depicting life journey of Mahatma Ji was displayed in O.P.Munjal Conference Hall.

The celebrations came to a heart touching closure in Mata Thakur Devi Hall where the students presented a choreography 'Human Empowerment'. In a ceremonious event ‘Achievers’ Day’ held at Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium; 82 of Class XII and 54 of Class X high achievers who scored 90% and above in Board Exams along with School and Stream toppers of Science, Commerce and Humanities were honored with M. A Power Point Presentation about life of Mahatma Ji and a skit showcasing ‘His’ mantra of life ‘Simple Living High Thinking’ were presented by the students. The most becoming moments were chanting of Vedic mantras and bhajans by thousands of students in unison during the pious havan ceremony.

The ceremony rose to a final crescendo with the finale of the show, the foot tapping enthusiastic folklore of Punjab, Bhangra. ‘Techno Fest’–2017 (An Enlightened Vision), a two day event; organized by BCM School Chandigarh Road to commemorate 87th birth anniversary of 11th President of India Rev. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, concluded with a ceremonious splendor. Students from city schools participated in an Inter School Science Quiz, declamation contests and portrait design contest.
The students of BCM Arya Model, Shastri Nagar emerged as the overall winners and grabbed the running trophy along with a cash prize of Rs.3000/-. R.S.Model, Shastri Nagar and Guru Nanak Public School, Shastri Nagar shone as the first and second runner ups and received Rs.2000/- and Rs.1500/- respectively.
In declamation contest Budhisha Nanda of Bal Bharti School bagged the first prize while, Kamaljot Kaur of BCM Arya Model School and Parneet Kaur of BCM Chandigarh Road were first and second runner ups. A leader is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with power. To imbibe a sense of responsibility and true leadership among the students, BCM School Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana conducted its formal Investiture Ceremony for its senior and middle wing on 26 April 2017.
Being chosen via carefully conducted and systematic process of written test and a series of interviews, the deserving young talents of the middle and senior wing were bestowed with the responsibility of leading the school from the front.
NCC cadets of 19 Pb. Battalion extended a sprightly guard of honour to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The ceremony began with lighting of lamp amidst echoes of Gaytri Mantra followed by oral, floral and musical welcome of the guests.

The tiny tots of Nursery captivated the hearts of audience as they marched together holding different colour flags. The little BCMites won a loads of applauses in Nature Freeze Dance – a cultural item to embellish the athletic meet. The young ones competed with their class mates in different races suitably titled Pumpkin Race, Rabbit Flying Race, Obstacle Race, Ice Cream Cone Race, Drop the Cone Race and Swatch Bharat Abhiyan Race. The Parents acting as audience constantly boosted up the moral of the participants with their applauds and appreciated the efforts of the school. The winners and participants were honored with the medals.
9 February, In BCM School, sector 32A, a spectacular farewell party was organized by the students of classes XI for class XII aspirants (Science Stream). The eminent guests with distinguished profiles graced the occasion and added elegance to the event with their words of wisdom. The event began with a welcome speech by Siddhant, a student of XI N.M., followed by a colorful cultural bonanza that proved a feast to the eyes and ears and the hall kept echoing with enthralling cheers of the spectators.
Adorned beautifully and handsomely in gorgeous outfits, the young boys and girls of class XII walked on the ramp and competed in grace and style with their peers for various titles. Milan Chadha, Prabhjot Kaur, Abhinav, and Jasmeet Kaur bagged the titles of Mr. Farewell, Ms. Farewell, Mr. Handsome and Ms. Elegant respectively. Thereafter Sukhman Kaur of class 12 shared her nostalgic experiences of 14 years in the school. Her words, sprinkled with emotions, illumined every heart and moistened all eyes present there. Adding more feathers to the event, a PowerPoint presentation was showcased that took the students down the memory lane reliving their strenuous journey since the time they entered this temple of knowledge as a tiny tot clutching their parents’ finger. The strangers who they feared then; appeared to be their Gods now, to whom they will always be indebted. Mr. D.P Guleria, the Principal of the school bid a fond adieu to the students with his enlightening words of advice. In his thought provoking and graceful speech, he expressed his desire to see his students at the pinnacle of success and play a vital role in the nation’s development in future. The Guest of Honour Sh. S.K. Mehta said in his inspiring speech that besides ensuring top grades in academics, the students must assimilate moral virtues in their personalities.
In BCM School Sec32 –A, Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized on Tuesday, the 7 Feb. 2017 in Mata Thakur Devi Hall in the midst of great vibrancy and elation. Around 500 students participated in this ceremony.Mr. A. K. Singh Regional PF Commissioner was the esteemed Chief Guest & Mr. Anil Arora graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Sh. S.K .Mehtaji(Manager BCM Schools), Sh. R.B.Khannaji (Director Coordination BCM Schools)& Principals of other BCM Schools grace the occasions.The School Principal welcomed the guests by felicitating them with bouquet of flowers.The ceremony commenced with the auspicious Deep Prajjvalan ceremony. Next, the Principal formally welcomed the guests and introduced them to the gathering. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony where the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Guest of Honour&other eminent guests gave away prizes to the 80 academically meritorious pupils of the school. The cultural programmes commenced with a scintillating Welcome Song. Various dance forms that were an inspiration from dances of different continents like Salsa(America) , Tap Dance (Europe), Ewegh (Africa) , Yangge( Asia) , Gamelan( Australia) mesmerized the audience and stole the heart of everyone. The play “EcumenicalChafe”& Mime “Farce”based on evolution of mankind, destructive attitude of mankind towards nature and global warming gave a thought provoking jolt to everyone. The entire programme was planned, conducted & co-ordinated by the students under the mentoring and grooming of teachers. Chief Guest contended when we reward the students with prizes, its like we are rewarding our future & he expressed his great elation for having visited BCM School.Guest of Honour congratulated the students and stated that awards and prizes gave a boost to the students’ performance as they are the young architect of India. The ceremony rose to a final crescendo with the finale of the show, the foot tapping enthusiastic folklore of Punjab, Bhangra. The students presented their fountain of talents during these fantastic series of presentations. The day ended in a beautiful resonance with Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, lingering in everybody’s mind. The entire programme was applauded by everybody present and will always remain etched in the memory of one and all.
BCM Chandigarh Road organized its 10th Annual Sports Meet cum Prize Distribution in Primary Wing with the flamboyant spirits on Feb 1, 2017. Mr. Rajdeo (General Manager Telecom District, BSNL Ludhiana) graced the occasion as the chief guest of the day. Sh. S.K. Mehta (Manager BCM Schools), Sh. R.B.Khanna (Director Coordination, BCM Schools) & Sh. M.R.Mehta (Director Academics, BCM Focal Point) were among the dignitaries. The event commenced with the hoisting of the flag followed by March Past to the drum beat with synchronized steps and spirits. Then oath ceremony was administered by the sports captain. Principal Sh. D.P.Guleria declared the meet open. Up next was the inspirational song which filled the whole atmosphere with zest and zeal. Students participated with commendable vigour and enthusiasm in all the sports events .Winners of all the sports events were awarded by the chief guest. Awards were also conferred upon the students who had academically an edge over others. Students were also honoured for their comprehensive Assemblage. The students presented a cultural extravaganza which includes choreography, fusion of east and west, and yoga and aerobics. Principal Sh. D.P. Guleria stressed upon the importance of physical activities in order to achieve academic success. He congratulated the winners of all sports events and the students who distinguished themselves during previous year. The chief guest applauded the efforts of the students and stressed upon the importance of sports in student’s life. Overall trophy was bagged by Ravi House. The sports meet concluded with a vote of thanks. Thereafter lowering of the flag was done by Principal.

Khanderao, Joint Secretary (Regional Officer),CBSE, Panchkula at a ceremonious event ‘Achievers’ Day’ held at Mata ThakurDevi Auditorium.52 Toppers in Arts, Science and Commerce stream of Class 12board exams (AISSCE) and 82 students who secured perfect 10 CGPA in board exam(AISSE) received awards among a highly dignified and most elite gatheringincluding the school Principal Shri D.P. The school Principal Shri D.P. Guleria, while reading outtheAnnual Report, expressed his contentment about the efforts of studentsandteachers yet inspired them to raise the benchmark of success forcomingsessions.
Besides classical and folkdances, the students presented agrand cultural bonanza based on the theme‘Fates & Feats’ that offered theglimpses from the lives of greatpersonalities and imparted the message thatwith invincible spirits any ill-fatecan be converted into a great achievement.On the occasion, the joy of studentsand their parents knew no bounds and wasreflected vivaciously with loud cheers& thundering applause.
A two Annual Event Techno Fest - An Enlightened Vision was organised to mark the birth Anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
