At the heart of IIT Madras, the SPIC MACAY 9th International Convention blossomed into a cultural pilgrimage from May 20 to 26, 2024. Five students, mentored by Ms. Kamaljeet Kaur, delved into India’s heritage, with Mahabalipuram’s ancient beauty marking a pivotal moment in their cultural awakening. The ethos of Nishkam Seva guided their exploration, as they engaged in a rich array of workshops and performances, each a brushstroke in the portrait of India’s vibrant traditions. This journey was not just an education in the arts but a transformative experience that honed their skills and deepened their cultural insight. The melodious strains of classical music and the elegance of dance connected them to the soul of India, fostering a generation of individuals who not only appreciate but embody the essenceof India’s timeless heritage.
