On 31st May 2019, BCM School, Chandigarh Road honored high achievers of class XII & X from the session 2018-19 with certificates & trophies in an ostentatious ceremony ACHIEVERS' DAY held at Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium. 50 students were awarded with a scholarship of Rs. 3600/- for showing consistent excellence in academics. Toppers of classes VI-IX & XI were awarded with Dr. Tripta Dutta Scholarship of Rs. 5000/- each.
The momentous event started with obeisance to Goddess Saraswati by lighting the holy lamp and chanting Gaytri Mantra followed by school song Gyan, Swabhiman, Kalyan and rhythmic welcome by the students.
The Principal Mr. D.P.Guleria presented a brief account of school's achievements and activities in Annual Report for the last academic session. The pride of high achievers doubled when they got the chance to receive their relics from the Chief Guest Ambassador Dr. Deepak Vohra who mesmerized the audience by his famous charismatic flare. Dr. Vohra appealed to media to adopt positive journalism and present true picture of India which is regaining her past glory rapidly. He mentioned that at present India is the third largest economy, fourth biggest military power and with median age of 29 years, this youthful country is exploding knowledge being the third most innovative country of the world. Dr. Vohra stirred surges of patriotism in the hearts of audience. He shared mega trends and mega changes happening in India and around the world. In his thundering voice Dr. Vohra proclaimed that India's global profile has risen in last five years and our country is again seated on her ancient status of being Vishva Guru. He inspired the audience particularly students to be part of this new India that is rising, awakening with confidence as renaissance is on the way.
