NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
Through participation in sports and games a child gains various skills, experience and confidence which are required for his all-round development. An online Sports Day was celebrated by BCMites of Senior wing .In which students delivered speech on different topics like Importance of sports in one's life .Students shared information on different competitions held by CBSE on district ,state and national level ,Contribution of BCM in the fields of sports and in Olympics 2020. All these activities were compiled in one video which was shared with the students of senior wing.
NATIONAL SPORTS DAY(Class presentation by IX-C)
India’s festivals reflect the country’s rich cultural abundance. Breaking the humdrum of daily routine, these festivals bring with them a wave of excitement, happiness and hope even in the most difficult times. On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, few activities were conducted virtually to make students understand the true essence of this festival and the sacred relation of a brother and a sister. Students of grade V recited heart touching poems during online class whereas grade IV prepared appealing e- collages of the precious moments with their siblings . Not only this, tiny tots of grade I-III also prepared beautiful greeting cards and rakhi’s for their siblings. Children participated in all activities enthusiastically.
CELEBRATION OF RAKSHA BANDHAN
GMT Public School School organised Hub of Learning Display Board Decoration Competition for the students of Classes VI to VIII. Harmanpreet, Sanya Jain and Rupashi Salaria of VII E made board on My Dream of Indpendent India under category A. They bagged First Position. Simarpreet Kaur of VIII G, Sukhleen Kaur of VIII A and Manmeet Kaur of VIII C made board on Democratic Values vs India 2021 under category B. They bagged Third Position.

A session was organised for the students of class VI ON "Disaster management wherein they were given the understanding of the core of the natural and manmade disasters. They were also given valuable information about the preparedness with which such situations could be handled. They were also given information about first aid kit and the ways to use it wisely and in a correct manner.

Spring Dale School organised Hub of Learning Mono Acting Competition for the students of Classes VI to VIII. Varsha of Class VII C stood second in Category A and Upneet Kaur of Class VIII D stood third in Category B. They present their Mono acts on the different themes viz. Plight of Child Labourer and Save Antartica respectively.

BCM School Chandigarh Road Celebrated Digital Literacy Week
From 2nd August to 10th August 2021 students of BCM secondary wing celebrated Literacy Week under the guidance of Ms Shelly Rawla (Computer Instructor) . The motive behind this celebration is to make the students move hand in hand with technology. Students prepared beautiful videos on ' I Love My School ' in which they gave information about their school's area , greenery, rainwater harvesting projects, infrastructure etc .There were competitions on Digital Pamphlet Design , Brochure Making ,Logo Design and Animated Videos. Students participated whole heartedly in the competition.
BCM School Chandigarh Road Celebrated Digital Literacy Week.(11 AUG - 17 AUG)
Rhythm of class V J brought laurels to school by bagging 1st position in LSSC Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition 2021-22 conducted by Jesus' Sacred Heart School, Ludhiana. Theme of her poem was "Acid Attack Survivor - Lakshmi". She mesmerized the judges with her powerful performance and emerged as winner among 35 participants of different schools of the city.

Keeping in tune with the Independence Day fervor , students of Primary wing participated in various competitions with full zeal and enthusiasm. Literary Club conducted Inter class Poetry Recitation Competition for the students of class I - II. All the little patriots recited the poems with exemplary zeal and zest. Dramatic Club Organized Inter Class Role Play on theme - Freedom Fighters for Class III-IV. Students were filled with patriotic fervor. They paid tribute to various freedom fighters by enacting like them. It was overwhelming to see them dressed up as Rani Lakshmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Subhash Chandra Bose and many more.
Virtual Celebration of Independence Day
To kindle poetic flair among students, an online Inter House Poem Recitation Competition was organised on August 14,2021. The theme of the competition was Patriotism. Beas House emerged as overall winner. Harithi of Beas House bagged Ist position in English category whereas Parneet of Ravi House and Aryan Jain of Sutlej House stood second. The third position was bagged by Khanak of Ravi House. In Hindi category Jeevanshi and Vivedita of Beas House bagged 1st and 2nd positions respectively. Japneet Kaur of Ravi House stood 3rd. The competition provided an opportunity to the students to exhibit the best of their talents and confidence.

On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Music club of Middle wing organised Patriotic Singing Competition. The students showcased love for their nation through melodious songs. The students who stood first are Bhakti of Class Vi D, Harshit Monga of class VII E and Manrajpreet kaur of class VIII C.

A session on Adolescents issues was organised for the students of class VII wherein the students were given the information about how stress impacts one's mental as well as physical health and how it depreciates one's ability to lead life in a more holistic manner. They were also given tips for dealing with stress. A visualized imagery session was also conducted in order to help the students practice mindfulness as a technique to deal with stress.

BCMites celebrated Teej
To divert the attention of parents and students from this pandemic and to add fun , joy and celebration in their lives. Secondary wing of BCM celebrated 'Teej 'on 11th August 2021.
Students sent their videos of singing and dancing in Punjabi attires to the concerned teachers , which were uploaded on the school website. Students participated in different activities like 'Boliyan' 'Speech on the importance of Teej ' , 'Turban tying activity' and 'Braid making activity'.
Overall it was a wonderful activity which filled every heart and soul of BCM with colours and celebration.

Keeping in mind this thing senior wing of BCM School organised an online competition on Recipe to Relish in which Pulkita of 9th G bring laurel to the school by getting second prize .

On 28 July 2021, that is, World Nature Conservation Day secondary wing of BCM school organized some online activities under the guidance of Ms.Ankita Mentor of Eco club & Mr. Abhishek Mentor of Theatre Club in which students showcased their calibre by participating in activities like speech delivering , mono acting, story and article writing .More than 80 students participated by sending their videos to the concerned teachers.
A final video was compiled which was shared with students. It was uploaded on school's FB page.
VAN MAHOTSAV
Every year July 26 is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas to remember the success of operation Vijay in the year 1999 Kargil War. It is a moment of great pride for every citizen of the country. In order to pay tribute to India’s Armed Forces and to salute their indomitable courage and valour, few activities were performed by the students. Bio Sketch Writing of any Kargil War hero by grade IV & PPT SHOW in grade V respectively.
KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS
“ Strength lies in differences, not similarities”, truly depicts the objective of the “Swadesh Manthan”.
In continuation to the project, “Swadesh Manthan”, which started from the new academic session 2021-22 and in order to acquaint the students with the diversity, food, costumes, culture, festivals, cuisines, politics, art …. Of India and to help them to be creative and confident and to learn to work in team, a Power Point Presentation was shared with the students during online class, based on the allotted theme state - wise, on July 23,2021.
SWADESH MANTHAN - POWER POINT PRESENTATION
The school conducted a series of British council activities for class III from July 17- July 21, 2021, on the theme " Communicable diseases .... Prevention and control" Taking the mission of awareness ahead . Another activity SHOW AND TELL was conducted in class III .
Students enthusiastically participated in this activity .They showcased an item and described its importance in preventing diseases . Students shared glimpses of their efforts in online class of EVS by their catchy lines and also shared their view point on the items related to health and hygiene.
Students gained knowledge about the personal hygiene and the importance of being healthy.
BRITISH COUNCIL ACTIVITY- HEALTH IS WEALTH AND NOTHING IS SUPREME
To celebrate 75th year of India’s Independence CBSE has announced Expression Series for the session 2021-22 on the theme India@75. In order to provide a platform to students to creatively express their ideas / views through (paintings/ paragraph), on the topics- What can I do for my locality or the place where I live? Or The Things I love about my Country., circular for the same was sent to the students and they were asked to participate in it. After shortlisting entries, one best entry will be chosen and sent as per the given schedule.
CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES
Plants are often called green lungs as they maintain the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. They play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance but there depletion has become a point of concern.. So to make students aware and instill a personal connection between students and nature, Van Mahotsav was celebrated in BCM school on July 17,2021.

From 3 to 7 July 2021, students of senior wing, BCM school organised an Art and Craft mela under the guidance of Mrs. Bhawna Saxena .A plethora of activities like paper lanterns, wind chimes, best out of waste, rangoli, painting on table mats and table clothes were organized .A new activity that is how to redesign your old shoes and bags diverted everybody's attention .Efforts done by Colour Voyage Club was appreciated by everybody.

ART AND CRAFT MELA ORGANIZED
God has given us the most precious gift that is human body our duty is to protect it by keeping our body healthy. Yoga is one such Lifestyle in which the overall thought of human life has been taken. BCMites celebrated this yoga day with great zeal. A 15 day long virtual Yoga camp was organized for the parents and students as directed by CBSE. On the 15th day, students started their day by doing asanas with their family. Later, they attempted quiz on mygov.in and Diksha platform.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
The much-awaited summer camp commenced from June 5th to June 19th. Students from class III to class VIII participated in this to upgrade their skill in different activities like sports, yoga, art, craft, music etc with the help of expert teachers. They also got chance to apprise themselves with the new technology i.e. Artificial Intelligence. Some got chance to get acquainted with the tricks to crack Olympiads and others to exhibit their oratory skills in 3 languages. The camp engaged the children in activities that are enjoyable and also help them develop special techniques and skills.
SUMMER BONANZA
“Father is the guiding light whose love shows the way”
Father’s Day is a celebration honouring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, parental bonds and the role of fathers in shaping the lives of their children. They celebrated Father's Day, depicting their unending love and gratitude for their fathers. They sang melodious songs ‘All superheroes don’t wear capes’. They also spent some quality time with their father by watching movies and playing games. To make this day more special and show gratitude, they also made beautiful cards, badges, e-collages etc.
CELEBRATION OF FATHER'S DAY
The school is celebrating Reading Month from June 19, 2021 to July 18, 2021 in memory of the father of the Library Movement PN Panicker. It also aims to promote reading habits among students. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the students and teachers are guided to participate in various activities like quiz, open art, essay writing etc. Students participated enthusiastically in the ‘reading day’ pledge in the first week of reading moth
NATIONAL READING DAY
World Environment Day is celebrated as an annual event to raise the importance of the healthy and green environment in human lives and to solve the issues of the environment by implementing some positive environmental actions. BCMites are always keen to keep their best foot forward in taking care of the environment. This time students came forward and made thought provoking posters to sensitize the masses about global warming and need of planting trees.
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
BCM School, Chandigarh Road believes in encouraging its students to lead an enriching life by staying active during this difficult time of the COVID-19 outbreak and the school couldn’t be happier to receive warm support from the students to participate wholeheartedly. To build a healthy spirit of competition & team spirit amongst students, various events are organized all year round. To keep the spirits high and to build positivity in everyone’s life, during these times, on the occasion of International Dance Day Inter Class and Inter House Dance Competitions were conducted. Students of all the wings participated enthusiastically. Children sent in their videos to respective class in charges and House Mentors. Participants were shortlisted in a very fair way by talented Judges. It was breath - taking to see what our children are capable of; Their grace and poise were truly inspirational. Judgement was done on the basis of theme, dancing skills, expressions and overall presentation.

World Heritage Day gives us an opportunity to conserve and preserve our heritage and culture. To make students acquaint about our rich heritage and to promote the ethos of International Council of Monuments and Sites an Intra class Story/Facts telling Competition was organized for the students of Primary wing. In this virtual celebration students narrated stories/facts related to various heritage sites. Students participated enthusiastically and gathered information about different Heritage sites and shared during online class. It was a fruitful effort to hone the oratory skills of students as well as to motivate them to gain knowledge about our rich culture and heritage.
World Heritage Day || PRIMARY WING ||
Festivals are not just a great time to celebrate and enjoy but also an opportunity to acquaint our future generation with our diverse culture and relevance of important days. In the virtual celebration along with the Baisakhi fervor, students were also acquainted of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar through a PPT Show. Students of classes I to II delivered short speeches on the festival of Baisakhi. To mark the birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the constitution of India, Intra Class Elocution was conducted for classes IV and V. Students spoke about our Fundamental Rights and Duties and Life History of Dr. B.R Ambedkar. The aim of all the activities were to make students aware about our history and culture and give them a chance to express themselves.
