BCM school Chandigarh Road held Alumni Meet for their former students who graduated School after 2010. The event was attended by over150 Ex- students . The event started with lamp lighting ceremony and incantation of Gayatri mantra. The Ex BCMites holding various respectable positions in India and abroad expressed gratitude for the school and teachers who helped them in shaping their future. Mayank, Sania ,Aditi and Komal gave rhythmic performances on stage. Principal DP Guleria in his address encouraged alumni of the school to arrange more such programs in future which may include sports events, car rallies or some community service programme.

BCM School organised an interactive session for the students of Class X. BCM alumni Ms.Bhawna was the guest speaker. Ms.Bhawna cleared the myths of students about medical stream and guided them to balance the studies and routine life. She gave tips on time management and stress management along with various career options in medical stream other than MBBS, BAMS, BHMS and BDS stc. The guest speaker took up the students queries at the end of the session. It was very informative and motivating session for the students.

Festival of Lohri was celebrated by Secondary Wing of BCM School Chd Rd Ldh with exuberance and fanfare. The entire atmosphere of the school was absorbed in the festive spirit and echoed the melodious vocals of “Sunder Munderiye Ho” and the vivacious singing and dance performances of both students and teachers absorbed and assimilated the feelings of the festival. The students and teachers sang songs immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab. Principal D.P Guleria greeted and encouraged the students to value their cultural heritage. He lit the Lohri bonfire, the hallmark of the festival, and distributed rewari, peanuts, popcorn etc. among the students gathered there.

In continuation of its legacy of providing the best opportunities to its students, BCM School Chandigarh Road organized its 13th Annual Athletic Meet with great zeal and jubilance in presence of the audience comprising of budding athletes, enthusiastic parents and students of Primary Block. This extravagant affair constituted of 30 events of Track and Field in which around 400 students of Primary Block participated. The mega event began with the hoisting of the school flag followed by the display of the school’s grit and discipline via March Past. The students from all the four distinctive houses of the school coupled with School Band took part in this magnificent show. The athletes took an oath pledging to be true to the spirit of sportsmanship. The school Principal Mr. D. P Guleria addressed the august gathering and emphasized that by instilling the values of teamwork and true sportsmanship into the students, wonderful things can be achieved. The meet started with sprints for girls and boys in which they participated in racing events like 80mts, 100mts, 200mts. A series of individual events including high jump, long jump and hurdle race were also organized. Other challenging events like the obstacle race and relay race kept the audience on its edge. To encourage and appreciate the winners, School Principal Mr. D.P. Guleria felicitated the winners with medals and his blessings. It was a momentous day for the Captains of Sutlej House when they held the overall winning trophy. The event ended with a note of appreciation and encouragement by the School Principal followed by the retrieval of the school flag and National Anthem.

Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was observed with devotion and religious fervour. Remembering the “Shahidi Diwas” and supreme sacrifice of Guru Ji for protecting the most fundamental of human rights, teachers narrated the martyrdom details of Guru Ji to the students. In morning assembly beautiful shabadas were sung by students. A shaloka writing competition was organized for the students of class IV & V. Students penned down shalokas by the man of highly challenging undertaking of giving life for others. Students were urged to follow the teachings of Guru Ji for paying him a real tribute.

A fun filled literary based ‘Book Week’ was celebrated from Nov. 19 to Nov. 24, 2022. There were various activities to enhance the creative and scholastic skills of chilldren in this week. All the students participated enthusiastically in the different activities organized during the week. Students portrayed their creative ideas in designing book marks and book covering in different activities. Students of class IV and V penned down review on their fovourite books. Students also shared the new words in theclass from tne story book they read on Vocabulary Day. The week concluded with the final round of Inter House Story Telling Competition for class III to V , Inter Class Story Telling Competition for class II and Inter Class Book Reading Competition for class I.

BCM School, Chandigarh Road Ludhiana celebrated Children's Day on 14th November2022. Celebration encapsulating plethora of events like- motivational speech, shayari, dance ,poem, group song ,solo act, tabla performance, Ghoomar and medley. The show began with greetings to the children on the special day .This was followed by number of performances to delight , entertain and regale the students. The teachers enthusiastically performed various activities. The heartfelt appreciation by the students are a testimony to the grand success of the celebration of the Children's Day.

It is rightly said that every child is a different kind of flower that altogether make this world a beautiful garden. Children’s Day was celebrated with great vigour and enthusiasm by the students and teachers. The teachers made the occasion memorable for the children with special performances. The children were treated to a melodious medley of songs followed by a myriad of performances viz. choreography, qwali showing conflict of thoughts amid parents and children, poems, play etc. wherein teachers got the chance to relive their childhood & students got the opportunity to see their teachers performing on the stage. Students also got the chance to play some exciting games like Balloon race, Guess the song and many more. Students also participated in Fun races like Lemon & spoon Race, hurdle race etc. The winners were given gifts for their performance. It was a fun filled day full of smiles and surprises, love and laughter & fun and frolic.
CHILDREN DAY CELEBRATION
Happiness, blithe, ignorance, joy, glee, innocence and love- this is all that children are about.
On this Children's Day a fun-filled day full of love, laughter, fun and frolic was planned for the students of I to V. The day was filled with smiles and surprises. Students of I and II participated in fun races and enjoyed a lot in the school grounds. Teachers of class III to V presented mesmerizing performances for their respective students consisting of songs, dances, plays, one minute games, Riddles, poems etc. Students were delighted to see their teachers entertaining them. Apart from this, there was a plethora of in- class art & craft activities and talent hunt also. Students relished their favourite food. To make the students feel special, teachers gave small token of love to each student of their class. It was a memorable day for the students.
CHILDREN DAY CELEBRATION
Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Jayanti which marks the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru was celebrated with élan in the school premises when the students participated in a plethora of activities. Class in charges narrated Sakhis in the classes to emphasize the teachings of the first Sikh Guru and urged the students to follow the path of Guru Nanak. Serenity and calmness floated in the air with the beautiful humming of the shabads when students of class III to V participated in a Shabad Gayan Competition. A Sakhi narration competition was also organized for the students of class IV & V. Students of Middle block listed out the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji when they penned down the shalokas of Gurbani. Students of secondary block made beautiful portraits of Guru Ji and posters depicting Mool Mantra and Khanda Sahib. The festival was celebrated by all the students with great pride, honor and respect.

BCM School, Chandigarh Road observed Punjab Day on November2,2022 with great fervour by conducting an array of inter- house activities for classes IX and X.Students extended their hands to make the day magnificently successful by displaying their talent through model making, jigsaw puzzle, Art and Craft of Punjab, Poem recitation, Speech etc. Beas House with maximum participation was declared winner.
The aim of the celebration was to sensitize students towards rich culture and heritage of Punjab and to ignite competitive spirit in students.

Students of class I to V participated in Confluence -2022 organized by DAV School, BRS Nagar Ludhiana. Students brought laurels to school by bagging positions in different events. Jaibir Singh of class I-A got III prize in Fancy Dress Event. Aradhya Jain of class I – C got III prize in Story Telling Event. Dhriti of class IV – D got third prize in Solo Dance Event. The Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) is observed on 31st October every year. The day commemorates not only the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, but also reaffirms the inherent strength and resilience of our people to withstand threats to the security, unity and integrity of the country. Students of middle wing observed this day with great zest. The day started with the special morning assembly on the topic Unity wherein the students presented a story and song on the topic. They also administered unity pledge. House Council of Middle wing presented speech on the life and teachings of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) is observed on 31st October every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. To make the students aware about the day and this great leader, various activities were conducted. Unity Pledge was observed by students and teachers of all classes. Speeches were delivered to acquaint the students with the life of Sardar Ji. Students of class V prepared posters on the theme “Unity in Diversity”. An Inter House Quiz was also organized on the life History of Iron Man of India in which Ravi House emerged as winner.

Students of class I & II recited Chopayees from Ramayana alongwith their meaning. Class III students made beautiful Torans. An Inter House Rangoli Competition was organised for students of class IV & V in which Ravi House emerged as winner. Students also pledged to have a safe and eco-friendly Diwali.

On the occasion of tourism day CBSE announced the second Expression Series. The theme for the same was "Tourism in India". A poster making competition on the theme "The tourist place, I like to visit the most" was organised for the students of class 5. One best entry was selected and sent to CBSE.

Diwali celebrations at school often mean a festive look with diyas and lanterns adorning the school. The activities permeate the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope. Students of classes VI-VIII celebrated the festival of Diwali with great enthusiasm. The celebration started with the special assembly highlighting the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil. The students talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students about the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines of environment-friendly options for celebrating Diwali. Decorated with rangolis of vibrant hues, the classes had an ambience of joy and happiness. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali by decorating diyas, candles, lanterns & many more.
DIWALI CELEBRATION
Education and academic competitions are two most important ingredients of human life. Competitions at an educational institution target to increase students’ efficiency. These events are a part and parcel of schools for the holistic development of the students. BCM School, Chd. Road organized felicitation ceremony to honour the achievers of District level, LSSC, Hubs of Learning & other inter school competitions. The ceremony started with the School Principal honouring the achievers who have proved their potential by bringing laurels to the school. In past two months BCMites proved themselves a step ahead than others by bagging various prizes in different LSSC Competitions and Inter School Competitions. Participants of various competitions who were hounoured were Winners of District Yoga championship, Swimming Championship, LSSC Volley Ball, Turf- 2022, Hubs of Learning, G.S. Memorial and many more. On behalf of all the Achievers, School captain Raghav thanked School management and Principal Sir for giving them opportunity to showcase their talent and uncover personal capacity. At the end, School Principal congratulated all the achievers for their exemplary performance in different events. He exhorted others to work hard and shine in the same manner.

Students made posters on the theme ‘How would I promote tourism in my city/town?’ Later on entry of Kiratpreet Kaur of Class VIII-F was selected and sent to CBSE for the next round of Competition. As a mark of respect to the former President and Missile man of India APJ Abdul Kalam's birth anniversary was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the secondary Wing of BCM School Chd.
