TERI GREEN OLYMPIAD EXAMINATION

The students of classes IV-VIII participated in TERI Green Olympiad. The questionnaire included the questions related to environment. The main objective of this Olympiad is to make awareness about save environment & save life.

DIWALI CELEBRATED ||KG||

The festival of Diwali was celebrated in B.C.M Kindergarten Sec-32 A Chd. road with great enthusiasm. The children attired in colorful attires added vitality to the day. The little BCMites hailed Deepawali  by   enthusiastically taking  part in  Diya & Candle  decoration activity   planned  for  the  day .  The   participants  showed  the   creativity to  their  best and  made  the  judgment an  ordeal  for  the  teachers   activiting as judges . The  teachers  also   told  the  students  about  the   relevance  of    this festival & advised  them to  have  green & safe  Diwali . The   Prizes  were  given  to  the  winners  & books   as  souvenirs were  given  to  the  participants  by  the  Headmistress Ms. Pragati Kapoor. Mr. D.P. Guleria, Principal BCM Senior Secondary School congratulated the students and wished them a happy and safe Diwali.

STORY TELLING COMPETITION ||LKG||

A  Story   telling   competition was    organized   in  B.C.M  Kindergarten  Sec-32 A Chd. Road for the students of LKG. This   competition  provided  ample   opportunity   to   the   kids   to  showcase  their   narrative   and   descriptive   skills. The   participants   exhibited   their   confidence   while    narrating   different    stories    like    Tenali  Rama’s-   magical numbers, Honest woodcutter,   Value   of  Things  etc.  The   students used   different    props   and   charts   to  make  the   stories   lively.  The   winners   of the   competition  were    given  trophies  and   books   were   given  as   souvenirs to   the   participants.

GLOBAL HAND WASHING DAY ||KG||

Cleanliness is next to Godliness. So it is a habit which must be inculcated among the kids. Personal hygiene and cleanliness go side by side. Keeping all the things in mind activity of hand washing was carried out in BCM Kindergarten, Sec 32A,  Chd Road. Children were made aware of the reasons responsible for hands getting dirty which are the real cause of different diseases. Teachers taught the different steps of washing hands and showed the kids the importance and steps by using audio visual methods.

INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY||PRIMARY WING||

October 11 is celebrated as ‘International Girl Child Day’ since 2012. It is celebrated to call attention towards the different issues faced by the girls under 18 years of age. One of the main goals of International Day Girl Child is to help every girl in the world have the same rights to education, nutrition, medical care etc. To make the students aware of the day and its importance ‘A Poster making Competition’ for class IV and  ‘A Declamation Competition’ for class V was  organized. Students spoke out against the unfair treatment given to girl child around the world. Through the posters students gave a message to save girl child  to save humanity.

CLEAN INDIA GREEN INDIA ||LKG & UKG||

To   inculcate  the  good  habits of  hygienic living  practices  integrated  with  values & ethics  of  care  for  nature BCM  Kindergarten  Sec -32A  organized activity  “Clean  India  Green India” for the classes LKG & UKG .

To   fulfill this  motive  the  teachers guided the  young  ones  to make the proper   use  of  dustbins  and  motivated them to  keep  the  surroundings  clean  by  throwing the  garbage  in the  dustbin only. The teachers also told them that trees are man’s best friends and students planted   different saplings   in the school garden.

BCMITES SHONE IN INTER SCHOOL COMPETITIONS

107 students from classes I to V participated in G. S. Memorial Event conducted by Jesus Sacred Heart School, South City on Oct 6 and Oct 7. Students brought laurels to school by bagging prizes in different categories. Students showcased their talent in Atheletics, Art, Dance, G.K. Talk Show, PPT Presentation and Cultural Aerobics etc. students from more than 35 schools of the city participated in the event. BCMites proved themselves and were able to stand ahead of all schools by bagging overall second position. It was a proud moment to cherish.

DUSSEHRA CELEBRATED ||KG||

Keeping the festive spirit alive B.C .M Kindergarten, Sec-32 A, celebrated Dussehra  with great enthusiasm and energy . A special Assembly was organized on the day where the  kids  spoke  about  the importance of the  festival. A movie was  shown  to  the  depicting story of Lord Rama and Ravana.  Students took part in different activities eg. kids  of nursery and L.K.G  filled  colours  in  the  picture of   Ravana whereas students of UKG drew the pictures of Ravana. Principal Mr DP Guleria appreciated the efforts of students and conveyed that this festival comes with an edifying message that good always triumphs over evil.

HINDI RHYME RECITATION COMPETITION ||NURSERY||

Tiny tots of BCM Kindergarten 32 A reveled in the rhythmic wonders of Rhymes as they enthusiastically participated in the Rhyme Recitation Competition organized for the students of nursery. It was indeed a contest which unfurled the confidence & elocution of the tiny tots who effervesced with pride while reciting rhymes. The children looked cute as rippled and swayed in accordance with the musical tune of their respective poem. The participants were judged on the basis of selection of rhymes ,voice modulations, clarity, action and confidence. The winners from each section were given certificates by the Headmistress of the school.

SHOW & TELL COMPETITION ||KG||

To hone the articulatory skills and to instill confidence in the little BCMites a Show & Tell Competition was organized for the students of LKG & UKG in BCM Kindergarten Sec.32 A, Chandigarh road. Kids astonished the audience comprising of parents of the participants and teachers with their excellent performance. In this competition kids spoke on different topics like GST, Child labour, Solar system, Healthy food, National flag etc. They described the objects used as a prop with a lot of confidence, facial expressions & voice modulations. Winners were given the trophies & books were given to the participants as souvenirs.

LEMONADE MAKING ||KG||

 To teach students a lesson of self dependence Lemonade Making Activity was organized for the U.K.G and L.K.G class on September 9 & 16 ,2017  in B.C.M kindergarten  Sec-32 A. The  students  had a  real fun  while  making  lemonade. They  enjoyed  squeezing  sprinkling   and stirring in  the  company  of  their  respective  teacher. Sharing   &  sipping  self made  lemonade in  the  company  of  their friends was not  short  of a  feast  for  the  tiny tots.

NATURE WALK ||LKG||

In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks- Muir With the motive to generate love for nature in the tender minds  and sensitize   them towards the beauties of nature ‘A Nature Walk’ was planned for the kids of LKG class in BCM kindergarten on September 12th & 13h. The school gardener helped the children in planting different saplings. The teachers not only acquainted the young ones with names of varied flowers and plants but also familiarized them with the different parts of plants in the school garden. They also enjoyed watching different shapes of clouds. Children really enjoyed learning varied lessons in the lap of nature.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATED ||KG||

BCM Kindergarten, Sec. 32-A, celebrated Hindi Diwas to instilling love for the mother tongue in the hearts of little BCMites for the Hindi language. The  special  morning  assembly  was  conducted  where  the  kids  recited  poems in the mother tongue. The  teachers  told  the  importance  of mother  tongue to  the  kids  in  their  respective  classrooms.

CARD MAKING ACTIVITY ||UKG||

Children exhibited their artistic skills and creativity in the Greeting Card Making activity organized for the UKG students. Students used different colours, drawings, stones and stickers to beautify their creations. The students dedicated these cards to their teachers. The efforts of the children were highly appreciated by their respective teachers.

TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION II MIDDLE WING II

 “The best teacher is the one who suggests and inspires his listeners to achieve the great success”

5th September is the birth anniversary of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan , who was a staunch believer of education, & was a well-known diplomat , scholar President of India and above all a teacher. In India 5th September is celebrated as the Teacher’s Day as a mark of the tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. To celebrate the Teacher’s Day Oration on ‘My Ideal Teacher’ activity was organized for the classes VI to VIII. The students from classes VI to VIII expressed their heartfelt euphoria by participating in oration. The students participated with full enthusiasm & glee in all the activities. The School Principal, Mr. D.P.Guleria said, “Teachers are the real shapers of the future building blocks of the country .They shape up the student’s life.”

Teachers  play a major role in making their students    responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. Teacher’s day is celebrated to show our acknowledgement and recognition to the hard work put in by teachers towards development.

To mark the importance of the day a greeting card making and an Article writing (My Ideal Teacher) competition were conducted in classes I to III and IV – V respectively. The students showcased their talent through beautiful cards and thoughtful articles.

WILD WISDOM QUIZ-2017 ||PRIMARY WING||

Two students of Primary wing naming Aayush Jain of IV-A and Saandhiya Jain of V-C participated in Wild Wisdom Quiz 2017 conducted by WWF-India at Learning Paths School, Mohali on September 4, 2017. The Quiz master was Mr. Sharad Manocha  from Jallandhar. 36 schools from various cities of North zone participated in this event. Though most of the teams were from Tricity i.e Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, yet a few of them came from far away cities also like- Hamirpur, Shimla, Yamunanagar etc. From Ludhiana five teams were there. All the teams competed for stage round through a written test.  Five teams were selected for stage round. Our team was also one of them. Students  participated confidently and bagged many prizes like medals, certificates, T-shirts, CD’s and books.

INTER HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION ON NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

 

Padam Bhushan Major Dhayan Chand’s birth anniversary is celebrated as ‘National Sports Day’ on 29th August every year.  To honor the Legendary Hockey player & to enrich the knowledge and interest of the students for games, an Inter House Quiz Competition on the topic ‘Sports’ was organized in BCM School, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana. In the competition, knowledge of the students about games was tested & they were encouraged to make games & sports an integral part of their life. In this Inter House Quiz Competition, four teams comprising of four students in each team of four Houses i.e., Beas, Ravi, Satluj & Yamuna participated with full enthusiasm & vigor. The students enthusiastically participated in three exciting rounds, General Round; Identify the Picture Round & Rapid Fire round. The questions related to achievements of renowned players were also asked in the quiz. The participants answered every question confidently and Rapid Fire round left everyone amazed as the participants answered the questions in quite succession. The main motto of the quiz was to give a boost to the importance of games & sports.“Satluj House”emerged as the winner house in this Inter House Quiz Competition. The School Principal, Mr. D.P. Guleria said, “Sports are not just training, but it is a culture that needs to be promoted. And there is no better place to do than schools that shoulder the responsibility of building India’s better future.”

  Claymodeling is one of the finest ways to tap the imagination among  the  kids. The tactility of clay sparks creativity among the children resulting in array of versatility. To do the same B .C. M. Kindergarten Sec-32-A organized ‘Clay Modeling Competition’ for the students of L.KG. It was a perfect platform for the creative minds to give shape to their Fantasy. IT Club of Middle Wing organized IT Quiz Competition for the classes VI & VII. The activity was conducted in the activity hall in zero period. There were 8 teams comprising of 2 students in each team. There were three rounds: General Round, MCQ Round and Picture Round. The names of the teams were based on computer terms. All the teams displayed their best caliber. The activity not only enriched their knowledge but also gave a boost to their confidence. ROLE PLAY COMPETITION || UKG ||

Role  play stimulates the imagination, enhances  the social  developments and listening  skills of the kids. It also teaches them to be cooperative, empathetic with others and express their feelings well. Keeping     the same in mind B.C.M Kindergarten, Sec-32 A, organized “Role Play Competition” for U.K.G kids on  17 August 2017. Kids actively participated in this competition and played different roles to perfection. To see children enacting the roles of Sardar Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarojini Naidu, Mrs. Indira Gandhi etc. was a feast to the eyes. In the end winners were given the trophies whereas the participants were given books as souvenirs.

JANAMASHTMI CELEBRATED ||KG||

Fervor Marks “Janamashtmi Celebrations”

Janamashtmi is a day of joy and jubilation, for it heralds the birth of Lord Krishna, the  beloved  of millions. BCM KG Section Sec32A celebrated this day with full zeal and zest on 12th August 2017. The cute kiddies attired in the dress of Lord Krishna and Radha turned the campus into Vrindavan. To make the day vibrant Colouring Competition for Nursery kids was organized where the tiny toddlers filled the colour in the picture of Pot. Kids of LKG showcased their talent by decorating the ‘Flute‘ with  stones and colouful laces while the tiny tots of UKG participated in ‘Matki Decoration’ activity. Children also posed to their best for the clicks with the well decorated jhoola.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED || KG ||

 

To colour the little Bcmites in the patriotic hue BCM Kindergarten Sec.32A, Chd. Rd. celebrated ‘Independence Day’ with great patriotic fervor, zeal & zest on 11 August. Kids of UKG charged up the atmosphere by participating in the ‘Role Play’ activity and enacting the roles of eminent Indian personalities who played an important role in the Indian freedom struggle. The kids of  Nursery & LKG gave an expression of love for nation by filling colours in the tricolour flag. So the day abuzz with activities was a rich learning experience for the young buds of KG section.

INDEPENDENCE DAY AND KRISHAN JANAMASHTMI CELEBRATION

To celebrate the liberty and to remember the great leaders of India, work experience club organized various activities for  the classes VI,VII & VIII. Students of class VI prepared Tri-colour Hoarding using three colours saffron, white and green. Students of class VII  prepared Tricolour  flower bunch and used the tri colours of our National flag. They all enthusiastically participated in all activities. The judgment was done on the basis of theme, Neatness, Presentation and overall impact. On the other hand, students of class VIII participated in ‘Janamashtmi Scene creation’ activity in order to celebrate the festive fervor of Krishan Janamashtmi . Judgment was done on the basis of Theme, Neatness, use of articles and overall presentation.

A nation with such youth power can dream big. To celebrate ‘International Youth day’ English Articulator’s club  of Middle Section organized ‘Declamation Competition’ for the students of classes VI,VII and VIII on 9 August ,2017 during Zero Period.23 students from different classes participated in it. BCMites WON THE OVERALL TROPHY IN SAAWAN TEEJ FEST – 2017

47 students of BCM School Chandigarh Road took part in Saawan Teej Fest - 2017 held at OP Munjal Rakh Bagh on 5 August, 2017 and won the laurels in various events. They proved the mettle of their creativity by bagging various positions in different events &our school hogged the limelight among 32 schools bylifting the Overall Trophy. A total of 8 events were held and they participated in all the competitions and won many accolades.

The chaste bond of love between brother and sister is one of the deepest and noblest of human emotions. ”Raksha Bandhan” is a special occasion to celebrate this emotional bond by tying the holy thread around the wrist of loving brother. The sacred festival –‘ Raksha  Bandhan’ was celebrated in the Kindergarten Section of BCM School Sector 32-A,Chandigarh Road on Aug 5. Students of Nursery, L.K.G, U.K.G, participated with great zeal and zest  in  ‘Rakhi making" activity. Kids made beautiful rakhies with  flowers, pearls, colourful stones. Teachers also acquainted the students with the different stories related to the day.
