BCM School, Chandigarh Road organised an enriching professional development programme titled “Reinventing Self for School Excellence”, conducted by the eminent educationist and renowned resource person Dr. Senthil Kumaran. The programme saw the active participation of all Principals of BCM sister concerns along with nearly 150 teachers, marking it as a significant academic initiative under the BCM Foundation.
The session focused on self-reinvention, leadership practices, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and the evolving role of teachers in the age of Artificial Intelligence. Teachers were also sensitised to the vision and key provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with emphasis on holistic education, competency-based learning, and nurturing 21st-century skills among learners.
Dr. Senthil Kumaran emphasised that while technology can support teaching, inspiration and value-based leadership remain uniquely human strengths, aligning strongly with the spirit of NEP 2020.
The programme was organised under the visionary guidance of Mr. Amitav Ghosh, Director – School Education, BCM Schools, and Mr. D. P. Guleria, Principal, BCM School, whose consistent efforts towards meaningful professional development continue to strengthen the educational ethos of BCM institutions.
The session concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and motivation among educators, reinforcing the belief that intentional growth, collaboration, and adaptability are essential for achieving excellence in school education.
