77th Republic Day with Grand Parade and Visionary Cultural Showcase

BCM School, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana, celebrated India’s 77th Republic Day with a spectacular two-part ceremony that blended traditional military-style discipline with a visionary cultural program. The event brought together students, educators, and distinguished guests to honor the democratic spirit of the nation.

The festivities commenced on the school grounds with a majestic Guard of Honour presented to the Chief Guest SS Gill refers - a distinguished Indian Army officer, known for his leadership, valour (VirChakra recipient in 1971 war) followed by a formal Ceremonial Welcome. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as the National Flag was unfurled, accompanied by the rousing notes of the National Anthem. Following the Inspection of the Parade, the audience witnessed a magnificent Grand Parade and March PastNCC Cadets andContingents of students marched with rhythmic precision, showcasing the discipline and unity that are the hallmarks of BCM School.

The celebration then transitioned to the Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium for the second phase of the event. The indoor program opened with a Welcome Address that set a reflective tone for the day. Highlights included a soul-stirring vocal and instrumental performance that celebrated India’s rich melodic heritage. 

Highlighting India’s rise as a global powerhouse over the past decade, Mr. Gaurav Munjal, Trustee of BCM Foundation and President of the SMC, delivered a powerful message. He urged the audience to translate this national progress into personal action by fulfilling their responsibilities to the community and the country.

In the Chief Guest’s Address, Brigadier S.S. Gill lauded the students for their excellent performance and reminded them that they are the architects of the "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) vision. PrincipalMr. DP Guleria in his poignant speech emphasized the importance of constitutional values in modern education.

The event featured a dynamic choreographic presentation that brought the journey of the Indian Republic to life through fluid movement and vivid storytelling. This paved the way for the centrepiece of the program, "The Future of India," where students presented a compelling vision for a progressive, sustainable, and technologically advanced nation. Concluding with a powerful call to action, the presentation underscored the vital intersection of rights, duties, and education in shaping India’s destiny.

The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired by the blend of traditional honor and modern aspiration.
