Since ages the students had been fervently praying to almighty for removal of back breaking heavy loads of school bags and nagging demands of parents to finish homework first before even thinking of any relaxation or recreation. Credit goes to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for taking a directive following which BCM School, Chandigarh Road has implemented ‘No Bag No Homework’ policy till Class III. Books and notebooks are kept in the school in custody of the Class teacher and sent to parents twice a week for their consideration. Students only bring their lunch box, Water bottle, School Almanac and a three-in-one note book in a small sachet. No home work is assigned formally in Classes I to III. In classes IV to VIII 50% of the total books and notebooks are kept in the school and the rest are brought by the students according to a strictly followed timetable. The initiative shall definitely waiver the burden on fragile backs of the young. Principal Mr. D.P.Guleria stated that this exemption in bag load and workload is aimed at liberating the children from unnecessary burden and allowing them to grow, learn & flourish freely.
